ABOUT US
Apicultors Montgó is a non-profit association that was born in March 2016 when a group of friends from the Marina Alta region, lovers of Beekeeping, decided to join with the main purpose of protecting to the bee and its environment.
The Montgo Beekeepers Association includes both professional beekeepers and amateurs,
large and small producers, as well as anyone with concerns for the defense of the environment, agriculture and the world of the bee.
Our objectives include:
Development of sustainability measures to improve the quality of bee products.
Facilitate the administrative work of its associates.
Advice and information campaigns to the community aimed at showing the importance of the bee in agriculture and the environment
Promote traditional and organic beekeeping
Our area of influence is the Marina Alta region, mainly the municipalities around the Montgó Natural Park where we obtain bee products. We intend to recover the art
of traditional beekeeping in these towns in the north of the province of Alicante.
Our activity supposes a close cooperation of our quality products with local trade and restaurants.
The protection of the bee is essential for its survival, that of agriculture and that of the human species itself.
¿POR QUÉ?
Nos levantamos por la mañana y ponemos una
cucharadita de nuestra propia miel en el café.
Esa miel sabe a nuestro campo, a nuestra
tierra, a las flores que estampan nuestra
comarca. Cada tarro de miel tiene el sabor
único e irrepetible de ese año y de ese trocito
de tierra.
Las abejas solo necesitan una casa donde
cuidar de sus crías y unos pocos mimos. A
cambio de eso, ayudan a polinizar el 75% de
todos los cultivos que consumimos, restauran
los ecosistemas y nos endulzan la vida.
Además, son los animales más importantes
del mundo, y esto no lo decimos nosotros, lo
dice gente muy lista del Earthwatch Institute.
En Apicultors Montgó hemos decidido ayudar a
estos pequeños polinizadores y así contribuir a
construir un futuro más dulce para los que
vendran.
VISIÓN
En apicultors Montgó soñamos con una Marina Alta llena de pequeños apicultores, cada uno con sus propias colmenas, para así poder diversificar y polinizar el mayor territorio posible, de una manera sostenible y respetuosa con el medio ambiente.
Para ello, queremos convertirnos en el centro neurálgico en el que se puedan apoyar todos los amantes de los polinizadores, proporcionando apoyo logístico y materiales de apicultura.
